With hindsight, it was probably an obvious thing to do. They were well respected for their lighters, which are a combination of precision mechanisms and jewellery-grade finishes, made to be stylish accessories. The same skills and craftsmanship translate perfectly to making pens.
The Defi Millenium features a matte finish with a metal trim. The tip extends and retracts with a twist, while the pocket clip is internally sprung, making it durable and practical.
